What is Piloxing?

Piloxing is a non-stop, cardio fusion of standing Pilates and Boxing with a side of Dance. It was created to provide a "sleek, sexy, and powerful" workout that blends the power and speed of boxing with the sculpting and flexibility of Pilates. At MissionFIIT Activity Hub in Hailsham, our Piloxing classes use high-energy music to guide you through heart-pumping boxing combinations and graceful, core-centric Pilates movements, topped off with fun dance breaks to keep the energy high.

How and what it affects in the body

Because Piloxing is a fusion class, it addresses multiple fitness goals at once. The boxing intervals focus on agility and cardiovascular health, toning the arms and shoulders. The standing Pilates blocks focus on balance, posture, and deep core stability. By switching between these styles, you are performing a form of interval training that keeps your heart rate in the fat-burning zone while simultaneously "lengthening" the look of your muscles. It is particularly effective for toning the glutes, thighs, and abdominals.

This weekend I attended a class for the first time with my friend to a class on the trial week, which is such a good idea because I was nervous to do a class however the staff were so welcoming and friendly and I left feeling really motivated. Safe to say I will be signing up as I was really impressed by the wide range of classes!! Thank you very much
