What is a Circuits Class?
Circuit training is the ultimate "all-rounder" workout. It involves moving through a series of different "stations," each targeting a specific muscle group or fitness skill. At MissionFIT Activity Hub in Hailsham, our Circuits classes are fast-paced and varied—you might spend 45 seconds on a station doing anything from kettlebell swings to battle ropes or bodyweight lunges, followed by a short recovery as you move to the next exercise. It’s designed to keep your heart rate up and your mind engaged.
How and what it affects in the body
Circuits provide a unique blend of cardiovascular conditioning and resistance training. Because you rotate between different stations, you can work your upper body at one stop and your lower body at the next, allowing one group of muscles to recover while the others work. This "peripheral heart action" forces your heart to pump blood rapidly across your body, significantly improving your stamina and cardiovascular health. It’s a full-body blast that builds lean muscle, improves coordination, and strengthens your heart.
